Too much rain for gardening

The plans for planting and getting the garden at the chook pen underway were delayed over the weekend due to a couple of things..
Forest had to work..
the compost wasn't ready - it was still warm so it is still 'cooking'
and it rained and rained..
So, the goats have been locked in up there and they're eating through stuff in the brief rain breaks.. They hate having wet feet cos their hooves get soft, so they are spending a lot of time under the shelter.
I just got back from checking on them and they've eaten a lot of the morning glory! YAY! still a lot to go though.
At this point, based on the moon calendar, we're better off waiting til next new moon to start planting... and we'll do more and more weeding over the coming weeks, as the last week of the moon cycle is the best for weeding anyway.
There's a lot of stuff I've been thinking about, in order to move up there. I wrote a list of all the things needed...
it's a work in progress no doubt, so I'll add more as I think of things.
